Singh is King

Well how true it is . PM saab finally did it . What a tug of war it was for the past one week. It was nothing short of a political Mahabharata , with warriors checking their armours from both the sides. Some people say we have a funny political system , some say its sick , some dont care, but I think this whole "trust vote" thing was better than watching a monotonous bollywood thriller.

How ironical it is !! .Friends become enemies and vice versa in no time .MPs were flown in from hospitals , ICUs and who knows ,no stone would have been left unturned to even get them from graves .Somewhere it made me realise the priciple of OSHO who said that the feelings of love and hatred are one and the same .Their origin is same. Our politicians have presented a brilliant testimonial for this principle.

So where does it leave us now ....Well next 4 months would reveal it.But somehow I get a feeling that UPA ,safe and healthy, is good for 2 major reasons:
a) Country will for now not bear the cost of early elections. Also now , UPA would hopefully do something and take some strong meaures to curb inflation and other economical issues as its "IZZAT ka Sawaal" for them now. A do or die situation , indeed.

b) With the N deal going through, the relations with US will strengthen which would eventually be an interesting situation to watch when Obama sworns in as the most powerful man on earth.
Both these factors will definitely impact the Indian economy .In my opinion, the IT industry in India would also indirectly benefit from this deal.Again as I said , just wait and watch.

NDA and allies , betta luck next time.

Singh is the real king.

A flat tyre ....

A Flat tyre - One of the most disgusting things for me that really puts me off !!!! And when that happens twice in a day , its surely would be an unforgettable day that I 'll try to forget . And thanks to the monsoons which added to my woes. Dragging a bike like Pulsar for 2 Kms twice in a day and once in heavy rains at 11 in the night is no Joke .The postive to take is that I dont need to work out and sweat for at least a week now. With the air pressure getting released through the puncture my hopes to reach home in time and watch Euro Semifinal also disappeared. I considered every person who passed by in a Car to be luckiest on Earth. At that point in time it seemed to me if you dont own a Car you are the biggest loser !!!My Company ID Card and the tag where hanging down the neck and swivelling sideways as I kept on dragging the big " ill " beast. There were raindrops on my ID card when I noticed a drop of rain moving down the cheeks on my picture on the card .It seemed as if the picture was crying to see me in such a pathetic condition.
Thanks to the ample shopping malls in the city , you always have a place to park your vehicles when they break down. Also , it was the first time in this season I got drenched in rains. To console myself I would say , it was an adventerous act with a good mix of physical and mental torture .
Why am I writing this stupid , useless blog in the middle of the night - because this is the only way I could vent out my frustration on my bike. Thanks to my colleague , my saviour who came to my rescue.I am sure God is kind and my colleague will not have a flat tyre for atleast next five years.

Moral of the story:
To be with a Pulsar is fun when she ( or rather he as the ads say its definitely male) carries you and its -ve (fun ) *1000 when you carry/drag it .

Good night.

Here we go...Ale...Ale...Ale...Go...Go....Go....Ale....Ale...ale

The EURO 2008 : Surprise isn't a surprise any more ?
The Big guns have failed .Italians, French, croats, czechs,Portuguese move aside .Make way for the new heroes of the season.Heroes whose grit, mettle and self belief made the crowds and supporters go bonkers and bow in front of them.
Turkey,Spain and Russia have proved what it takes to rise to the occasion when it really matters. Not only have they entertained the crowds , but also taught each one us a lesson of life- Don't give up!!

What a tournament this Euro 2008 has been !!! Not like the "imperialistic" cricket where one team dominates the world for ages. Germany will no doubt put everything into it to save the grace but beware guys , watching the game of these underdogs ,we are upto something in the semis and finals. Ballack will definitely have a tough time .With the games going to the last moment finishes and penalty shootouts , its clear that the win would kiss the feet who would hold their nerves till they clinch it . Remember its not over till its over.

Whatever the outcome may be , but it was truly a pleasant sursprise to watch the EURO 2008 till now and hope the same continues for the remaining 3 matches.

Anyone missing England ?? and the WAGS :o) .....well I am ....

Alright then , we are all set. Let the empty beers cans thump and bang the floor hard , let the noise rule the atmosphere , for the game is on ..................

SarKar Raj Review

This Saturday I had to make a choice .Either to go for the Sunidhi Chauhan Live concert organised by Hyderabad Times or go for Sarkan Raj.Being a big movie buff and an ardent fan and follower of Ramu and Bachhan Sir ,gave a nodd for the night show of Sarkar Raj - night show.Went to IMAX , PVR , ADLABS everywhere in the hope of getting a couple of cancellation tickets but wasnt very lucky. Then went to a single screen theatre( 70 mm mind you) , got the tickets somehow ( u know how diffucult it is to go for unplanned movies on weekends !!) and man isn't one excited when you get a feeling like " hey ! I am really smart ..." on striking a good deal with the ticket blackers!!!
But was it worth all the efforts and sacrificing my fav sunidhi's show ??Not too sure.Well....This seemingly powerful family affair of the Bachhans had all the hype and publicity but when the bottle was uncorked , the fizz disappeared in no time.I thought that this time Ramu would be back with a bang after the great debacle of RGV ki Aag (better known as the worst remake of a classic ) but it just proves to be a same ol' underworld kinda stuff manufactued in ramu's factory.
Agreed , that not every sequel can be as successful as the original but Sarkar Raj simply fails to live up to the expectations one has from a movie threaded by the most powerful family in Bollywood. The film picks from where the original left , with the same house of Nagres and same "less dialogues more neck muscles twists and sweat dribbling down the cheeks" kinda scenes and yes the same old govinda -govinda chants. It was all quite impressive in the first part but Ramu doesnt seem to compromise much on the same old mafia style background music and govinda goinda chants, this time.At least I expected something new , something fresh in terms of the treatment to the film provided. The only new thing was the addition of the Aish to the story, who I believe did a reasonable job.I am not blaming the actors solely as they did what the director expected out of them , but the script goes really week as he movie enters the second hour.Once can even draw a parallel between the sequences with the original .Like the same old conspiracy plot , same misleading the junta of Maharashtra ,same revenge taking acts and coming clean at the end at the sacrifice of the blood of one of the family members.Well it seems that wherever Ramu was a little confused with a decision to make and turn the story , he took references from , The good father series like the scene where Junior Bachhan loses his wife in a bomb blast. Amitabh bachhan too good to be let off die when compared with Marlon brando , he sacrificed the life of Junior Bachhan. Also , if you can read between the lines ,one feels that Bachhan Sir has passed his message to aam junta and Thackerays that he and his family belong and think about Maharashtra as much as they do about U.P.This is just an observation.
The pace of the film goes brisk just in spikes and eventually it proves to be a yet another sorry tale by Ramu. Heard that Aamir is one film sharing the release day with Sarkar Raj and which proves to be a pleasant surprise .waiting to watch it .
I am a big fan of Ramu as he is one person who can make a story out of rags anytime and dares to take risks but its getting far too sretched now. Ramu should do what he is best at - serving something new. Well from the climax it seems there would be Sarkar 3 or who knows may be Lady Sarkar -3 ( u know what I mean ) . A production suppport guy like me always looks upto to something new , something refreshing and indeed I am disappointed.SarKar Raj is another average flick.......

Mumbai - The city still Living in Stone Age

I would rather like to stay in a remote village somewhere in central India, than going to Mumbai.
Its so disturbing to see the moment you come back from the office and switch on your TV , you see a bunch of nerds who call themselves as "the sons of Maharashtra" mercilessly beating innocent people coming from other states like UP and Bihar .

And man , what an irony !!!! we call ourselves as the world's biggest democracy, a social and secular country. Come on guys, after movies and inspirations and bla bla bla on Gandhigiri and movies based on Gandhigiri (produced and made in THEIR MUMBAI , you chose a path to drive people away from your state which would have put even Gandhiji to shame .Ha !!even the britishers were not driven in such a way . For a fellow who runs a roadside bundi , his bundi is the only source to feed himself and his family .How can a handful of these anti social elements throw their bundi off and slap him....

On one hand these sons on Maharshatra give n number of awards to Mr. Bachhan and today they had no hesitation to pelt bottles and stones on his bungalow. That one stone did not hit the window pane of his bunglow but thrashed and rocked the entire shelf of awards that Mr. Bachhan received from Mumbai. I always thought that mumbai is the most so called 'advanced city' of India - a broad minded city . How wrong I was !!!Its the most narrow minded city with people living in stone age even today.

Even if its a political battle , why should a common man suffer . Whats rights do these guys have to pull students from UP and bihar with their hair , outside , barring them from writing exams. We live in a society that thrives on a give and take relationship . If people from other states are coming to Mumbai , then many Mumbaikers ( or maharashtrians) are also coming to UP and Bihar . People from film fraternity come to these states to shoot their films . The audiences love these films and adore the film stars without thinking whether the film star is from Mumbai or Jhumri Talaiya or Las Vegas. Even today people dance on Madhuri Dixit's numbers and are crazy about her films . Sachin is an idol for all the budding cricketers in UP and people stop their work when he comes to bat .He doesnt rule the hearts of people only in UP and Bihar but all over the country . So WHY THIS BIAS ???Guess they should stop supporting anyone from the "COSMOPOLITAN" Mumbai now and give a Tit for Tat .

I feel like writing a lot but fear the keys might pop out of the keyboard.Sorry to say this , but I would definitely not like to visit Mumbai again and I would not be shocked now to see the story twisting the other way round .And if its a political gimmick then it has gone too far. Neednt say I guess !!!!

The first of this year....better late than never

Well....finally I have got time to come back to the place that I enjoy being in - this blog. The year has started on a busy note for me and the first 27 days have gone in a flash .This is the first post for this year '08 and may this year be the best year for me and for everyone.May I also pray to God that I get no ..(ok no is impossible so "less") telemarketing calls , bank loans , home loans , credit cards , personal loans , pension plans !!! this year.

Lat year ended on chilling at home , gorging on Mom's food and taking advices from Ma and Pa which varied from Tax saving investments to a suitable match for me (they seem to have joined some kind of anti bachelor group), watching a lovely movie , better and appropriate to call a masterpiece - Taare Zameen Par.

What's next ?? Well so many things to watch out for - Ind Vs Aus , Hillary Vs Obama , Emotions Vs Sensex ,my appraisal Vs my jump to another company ( just kidding) .

Okay , Lots more to post but some time later . Don't fee like writing anymore now as I am busy treating my ears with Jimi Hendrix's magical chords.
